Human Resources (HR) Intern

Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly motivated HR Intern for our operations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Overall purpose of the role
This internship program is designed to provide a learning opportunity for newly graduated candidates by allowing them to do actual work and provide support to the organization.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Assist the HR in making sure all personnel files are complete and accurate, assuring adherence to the highest level of confidentiality.
- Assist the HR Team in contacting and arranging written exams and interviews for different positions.
- Assist the HR Team in handling any insurance-related issues of staff in a very organized and professional manner;
- Assist the other HR Team in organizing orientations.
- Assist the HR Officer in making sure that all staff in DRC Addis and FOs are registered in the government pension scheme and keep the record in the personal file.
- As part of the learning process, participate in any HR related activities and responsibilities as directed.
- Any other assignments as instructed by the immediate supervisor
- Issue staff IDs.

Experience and technical competencies:
- 0-1-year experience
- High integrity, pro-active, stable, robust character and a good team-player
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven commitment to accountability practices.
- Knowledge of computers: word processing, database management packages
EDUCATION: (include certificates, licenses, etc.)
- Diploma or BA in Management, HR Management, or other relevant business fields.
LANGUAGE: (indicate Fluency level)
- Basic English Communication Skill
- Fluency in Amharic required
