We are looking for a business minded data scientist to be part of our Business Analysis team in Netto Finance, located at Netto HQ in Køge.
You and the team have the responsibility of driving strategic projects across business units utilizing and processing the huge amount of data available in Salling Group leading to insights that enable more informed business decision-making creating a difference for our customers.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Through data analyses create insights to support core retail and finance processes
- Together with the team, design, develop and implement tools and models that utilize the data to create business impact in new ways
- Ensure efficient data availability including tailor-build tools
- Support the general data-driven transformation in Salling Group
Your skills and background
You have a Master’s degree within economics, IT or engineering (e.g. cand.scient, cand.oecon, cand.merc). Preferably, you have a couple of years’ of experience as a data scientist or in a similar role, where you have acquired the necessary skills to succeed as a data scientist.
Alternatively, you compensate for your lack of experience by being a top-performer and by having relevant experience in a student job during your studies. You have a natural interest in data and how it can be utilized to create business impact. Beside your passion for data, you have a strong business acumen enabling you to utilize the right data and making the best analysis for the problem at hand.
You have an analytical mindset, a structured way of working and is a real problem-solver. You have experience with extracting, cleaning and transforming data as well as data modelling creating measures and reports that fuel solid business decisions across Salling Group.
You have experience with programming/scripting languages such as R, Python, DAX and SQL.
As a person you are curious of nature and have an eagerness to take on a very steep learning-curve. You are proactive and have a ‘self-starter attitude’ and can independently focus, see opportunities and invite yourself to the table.
Fluency in Danish is an advantage.
