Student Assistant, Corporate Communications & Branding
Abena A/S
Interested in communications? Branding? Marketing? Working in a global organization? Read no further; we have the perfect job for you.
ABENA’s Corporate Communications team is looking for a student assistant to help us ensure global consistency.
You will work closely with two experienced communications and branding professionals, who are eager to hear your take on things, and will encourage you to find your own solutions to your tasks – while, of course, cheering you on and providing you with all the support you need.
All we expect in return is that you finish your assignments on time and enjoy a mix of administrative and developmental work. Some periods may involve more administrative tasks than creative development, but these responsibilities are an important part of supporting ABENA’s ambition to strengthen and grow our brand globally. Every contribution plays a role in helping us move forward.
In return, we offer valuable hands-on experience in communications and marketing in a global organization, as well as access to a network of more than 20 marketing specialists across a variety of disciplines.
Your assignments will include:
- Manage our global marketing shop, including ordering products, coordinating with subsidiaries and logistics, and shipping products.
- Providing day-to-day support for ABENA’s global LinkedIn channel, including the planning of our annual wheel and performance tracking.
- Manage consistency across our global websites, including ordering translations and implementing content on our subsidiaries’ websites.
- Some defined PA assignments for our Marketing Director
- Ad hoc administrative support.
What we hope you bring
Our ideal candidate should, above all, be keen to learn more about communication and branding.
Moreover, we also look for the following:
- You are fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You are enrolled as a student in a relevant field (e.g., communication, marketing, journalism, etc.).
- You don’t need to have experience with social media management, but it is an advantage.
- If you have experience with Adobe packages or movie editing, it is also an advantage.
- You are motivated to take on smaller writing assignments and enjoy supporting a variety of tasks related to the team's activities.
- You are structured, organized, and can work independently.
Your Team, Our Culture and Values
We are a small team, but the size of our team does not match our ambitions. We are working on the development of ABENA’s corporate communications and branding, developing our annual ESG report, working with sustainability communications, managing our global website, and maintaining our global LinkedIn channel. All in all, we are here to spread the word on why customers should choose us as their supplier, and why we are a good place to work.
We are characterized by being a workplace with a high ceiling and an informal atmosphere, where we work well together and have fun. We go to great lengths to help each other, and despite being a larger company, we value collaboration, with everyone naturally greeting each other in the hallways.
You will refer to Marketing Service Manager Ivan Svensson. But more importantly, you will have a whole team of go‑to persons for day‑to‑day questions. Whether it is about tasks, priorities, systems, or “how do we usually do this?”, the team is there to help you get moving and feel comfortable in the role.
You will be based at our Headquarters in Aabenraa, and we envision weekly working hours up to 15 hours per week, depending on the department’s needs and your study schedule.
At ABENA, you join a global company with a strong purpose: to make a real difference in everyday lives of people around the world. We combine professionalism with a warm, people-first culture where collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement are necessary parts of everyday life. We take pride in delivering high-quality work with integrity, guided by our core values of trust, fairness, and cooperation. These values shape how we lead, support one another, and create meaningful impact for our customers and communities.
