About the role
You will join the Regulatory and Institutional Relations team, working primarily on EU, International Maritime Organization, and other international regulatory matters. You will support Maersk’s engagement with governments, regulators, and international organisations at a time where global trade, security and energy policy are high on the political agenda.
The position is a student role with an average of 20 hours per week, offering flexibility alongside your studies.
Key responsibilities
As part of the team, you will contribute to our work at the intersection of business and policy. Typical tasks include:
- Conduct desk research and analysis on regulatory and political developments, particularly related to the EU, IMO, and broader international frameworks
- Support preparation of power points, briefing materials, talking points, and background notes for senior management and external engagements
- Assist in monitoring and analysing legislative developments impacting Maersk’s business, including shipping security, energy transition and international trade
- Contribute to the development of positions and advocacy materials on key regulatory topics
- Support planning and coordination of external engagements, including high-level meetings and visits
- Help ensure structured and well-organised team processes, with strong attention to detail
- Assist with admin, ad hoc tasks and projects across the team

- You are preferably in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or at the beginning of your master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. political science, economics, business, or international relations)

- You work in a structured and detail-oriented manner
- You are proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- You are fluent in English
