Student Assistant – Governance Team (Governance Risk & Compliance Team)

To strengthen our Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Team, we are looking for a Student Assistant (12–20 hours per week) who will play a key role in quality assuring, maintaining, and structuring our GRC documentation.
If you are thorough, detail-oriented, service-minded, and curious about Governance, Risk & Compliance, this could be a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a regulated fintech environment.
What you’ll do
You will report to Head of Governance and will be a central support function in ensuring that Inpay’s GRC documentation is accurate, compliant, and easy to use across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Quality assurance of policies, processes, and procedures in Microsoft Word
- Cleaning and consolidating documents
- Uploading and maintaining documentation in SharePoint libraries
- Applying correct metadata and tagging according to our Document Management Framework
- Updating our ERM system (RISMA)
- Supporting our automation efforts and the maintenance of the health overview / governance dashboard used for monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Supporting continuous reporting, improvements and automation initiatives within document and quality management (QMS)
In this role you will be trusted with real responsibility and supported to work independently within clear frameworks.
What good looks like in this role
- GRC documentation is consistently clean, structured, and easy to find
- Documents are published on time with correct metadata and approvals
- Stakeholders experience governance as supportive, not bureaucratic
Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure GRC documentation remains current, relevant, and compliant
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Inpay’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Help create structure, overview, and consistency across governance documentation
You will work with
- Microsoft Word (advanced formatting & track changes)
- SharePoint document libraries
- ERM system (e.g. RISMA)
- Metadata, versioning, and approval workflows
Your Key Stakeholders
You will be part of the Governance Team and work closely with colleagues across the Risk & Compliance teams
You will also collaborate with:
- Document owners and subject matter experts across the organisation
What we’re looking for
You are currently enrolled in a relevant degree (e.g. business, law, economics, information management, history or similar).
You are structured, precise, and reliable. You enjoy working with details, documentation, and systems, and you take pride in delivering high-quality support to others.
Must-have
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Structured and methodical working style
- Comfortable working with Word documents and Office Suite in general
- Service-minded, proactive and improvement oriented attitude
Nice to have
- Experience with SharePoint or document management systems
- Interest in Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Interest in fintech, payments, or regulated environments
- Experience with Power BI and automation
