As a Student Assistant in the Food & Beverage BioSolutions (FBB) Digital Transformation team, you will contribute to digitalizing scientific workflows, improving ways of working, and enabling faster innovation and knowledge sharing across the business. The team develops digital solutions that accelerate innovation and strengthen customer engagement through data-driven insights and modern digital tools.

The role & your impact
As a Student Assistant, you will support the development of digital and data-driven solutions that create value for scientists and business stakeholders. You will gain hands-on experience with data management, visualization, and application development while working closely with experienced colleagues in a leading biotech company.

Your key responsibilities in this role

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
• Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and data transformation workflows.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data visualization solutions, including dashboards.
• Build and maintain applications that support scientific workflows.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Digital Transformation team & the FBB organization globally to enable data-driven decision making.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role
Education

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree at a Danish university in Computer Science, Data Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• We prefer candidates who are early in their academic journey.

Technical skills

• Solid understanding of data structures, data models, and data management principles.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Python, R, SQL, or KNIME.
• Interest in data visualization, with experience in Power BI considered an advantage.

Personal competencies

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and data quality, data preparation and data transformation.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional skills & interests we value

• Previous experience with data engineering projects.
• Basic understanding of life sciences, biotechnology, or related scientific disciplines.
• Interest in digital transformation, innovation, and scientific applications of data.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and ways of working.

Working conditions

• Part-time student position with an expected workload of 8-12 hours per week.
• Primary workplace: Lyngby, Denmark.
• Occasional work at the Hørsholm site may be required.
• This is an on-site position with no remote work option.
