Student Assistant - Data Business Analyst

IFU

Are you passionate about translating complex data into clear business insights — and do you want your work to contribute to something that truly matters? At Impact Fund Denmark, we are looking for a curious, driven, and analytically minded student professional to join our Technology & Operations team as a Student Data Business Analyst.

This is a broad, cross-functional role at the intersection of financial and investment reporting, impact measurement, data quality management and operational analytics — helping us become more data-driven across the organisation.

Global impact, strong IT culture and meaningful teamwork
Impact Fund Denmark is Denmark’s development finance institution, investing in sustainable solutions that create measurable impact in developing countries. While headquartered in Copenhagen, our work extends across more than 45 countries, supported by six regional offices, uniting more than 25 nationalities under one purpose — from forestry in Paraguay to solar energy in Brazil and diagnostics in Bangladesh.

You will be part of the Technology & Operations team, which is currently expanding and includes specialists in processes, architecture, data, and IT security. Here, you will join experienced and collaborative professionals who are eager to share knowledge and support each other across disciplines.

The team
A place where great ideas can come from anyone
Joining us means becoming part of a warm, ambitious, and genuinely collaborative Technology & Operations Team. We are a group that thrives on shared purpose, celebrates each other’s wins, and is not afraid to roll up our sleeves when things get complex. Our work spans a broad range of initiatives that shape the organisation’s digital backbone — but what truly defines us is how we do it: together.

You will be surrounded by talented colleagues who bring curiosity, professionalism, and a healthy sense of humour to the table. We challenge each other, support each other, and take pride in creating solutions that make a real difference across the organisation. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are building a culture where learning is continuous and where you will have the space to influence how we work.

Joining Impact Fund Denmark, you will also become part of an awesome group of approximately 12 students that work in different teams across the organisation. The group regularly organises social activities and lunches, and spends time together also outside of work for those that are interested.

We are looking for a Student Data Business Analyst to play a hands-on role in gathering, structuring, and analysing data across investments, financial, operational, and impact domains. • Help monitor data quality in reports and ensure alignment with the data owner
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across teams to translate requirements into clear analytical outputs
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to data quality controls, reconciliation logic, and validation routines to ensure accuracy and trust in data products
  • Assist Data Engineers with documentation, data definitions, and semantic model alignment

You bring analytical curiosity and a collaborative mindset
With your interest in data analysis or business analysis, you understand how to turn complex requirements into structured, reliable outputs that stakeholders can act on.

We imagine that you:

  • Are in the second or third year of your bachelor’s or your first year of your master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, economics, or a related field
  • Have genuine interest in a data, analytics, or business analysis role are comfortable working with structured data
  • Are proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large, complex spreadsheets
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in English.
  • Have an eye for detail, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the initiative to move tasks forward independently
  • Are curious about financial services, development finance, or ESG and impact measurement

Bonus points if you:

  • Are familiar with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Dynamics 365 CE and F&O
  • Collected first practical experience from similar areas, for example internships, student jobs or volunteering

Our technology stack
