Student Analysts

IFU

Three student positions: Sustainable Food Systems, Healthcare, and Financial Services
Student jobs with a purpose in Impact Fund Denmark's investment organisation.
Do you want to work with impact investments? Impact Fund Denmark is looking for three Junior Analysts to join our investment teams in Copenhagen — one in Sustainable Food Systems, one in Healthcare, and one in Financial Services. The roles suit students who are interested in commercial investments that create measurable impact in developing and emerging markets.

You apply once. In your application, please indicate which team you are primarily interested in — and if more than one team interests you, rank them in order of preference.

The three teams
All three roles sit within the same investment organisation and share the same core tasks and learning opportunities. The difference is sector focus.

Sustainable Food Systems — investments across agriculture, food production, and food value chains that strengthen food security, productivity, and climate resilience.

Healthcare — investments that expand access to affordable and reliable healthcare, including services, products, and healthcare infrastructure.

Financial Services — investments in financial institutions and funds that broaden access to capital for underserved businesses and households.

The job
As a Junior Analyst you will be part of Impact Fund Denmark's investment organisation and support your team in preparing, presenting, and monitoring sustainable investments. You will be involved in the full investment process, working closely with experienced colleagues in Copenhagen and our regional offices, as well as with the other students.

Depending on the team and the individual investment cases, your tasks may include:

  • Build and maintain financial models and evaluate performance under various operating scenarios
  • Prepare materials for the investment committee
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations of investment opportunities
  • Perform general research and analyses of markets, sectors, and companies
  • Ensure that internal databases and monitoring tools are updated
  • Prepare presentation materials for internal and partner meetings
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with external parties
  • Complete ad hoc analytical and research tasks

Working hours are 15–20 hours per week. The role can be arranged flexibly around classes, exams, and other academic commitments. Work from home may be possible upon agreement.

Your qualifications and experience
We expect that you:

  • Are enrolled in a relevant university degree — ideally starting the final year of your Bachelor's or about to start your Master's, and expect to continue studying for some time
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Are well organised and pay close attention to detail
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Have knowledge of financial modelling and valuation methods
  • Are an experienced user of Microsoft 365, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Are eager to use artificial intelligence to teach yourself new skills and complete day-to-day tasks at a high standard

You do not need extensive professional experience. We are looking for analytical potential, motivation, and genuine curiosity about the sector you apply for.

Working and learning at Impact Fund Denmark
As a student at Impact Fund Denmark, you will gain insight into how impact investments are prepared, executed, and monitored in developing and emerging markets. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and with our other students, and gain exposure to both the investment process and our impact creation work.

Learning and development are key priorities for us. You will be supported through mentoring, feedback, and the opportunity to work on challenging and meaningful tasks in a highly international organisation.

We place strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and a positive and inclusive working environment. We share knowledge, we support each other, and we hold high professional standards without taking ourselves too seriously.
