Kvadrat A/S
Are you a student curious about new materials, emerging technologies, and the future of textiles? And are you interested in research, innovation, and collaboration?
Kvadrat Innovation Lab is looking for an intern to join our team in Ebeltoft from January for a minimum of six months.
As part of our team, you will gain insight into material innovation and research and support collaborative projects exploring new materials, technologies, and production processes.
About the internship
Kvadrat Innovation Lab works at the forefront of our ambition to push the boundaries of textile design and material exploration. We explore new fibres, yarns, materials, technologies, and production processes that can contribute to more circular products and more sustainable production.
Our approach is built around collaborative innovation. We work with universities, start-ups, suppliers, companies, and other innovators, bringing different expertise and perspectives together in research and innovation projects.
As an intern, you will become part of this work, supporting ongoing projects through research, coordination, documentation, and communication. You will help structure information, prepare project material and presentations, and support collaboration between internal and external partners.
What you will work with
Your tasks will vary depending on ongoing research and innovation projects.
They may include:
- Researching new materials, technologies, partners, and market developments
- Supporting ongoing innovation projects and external collaborations
- Gathering, structuring, and documenting project information
- Supporting research into fibres, yarns, textiles, finishing, and production technologies
- Preparing presentations and project material
- Maintaining project overviews, timelines, and templates
- Coordinating and preparing meetings with internal and external partners
- Documenting meetings and following up on actions and decisions
- Supporting communication and knowledge sharing across projects and teams
What you will learn
Through the internship, you will gain insight into:
- Material innovation and emerging textile technologies
- How innovation projects are developed through collaboration with external partners
- How research and complex information are structured and communicated
- How innovation projects are coordinated and developed from early exploration towards potential application
Who we are looking for
You are currently a student, and while your field of study can vary, you have a strong interest in materials, technology, and textile innovation.
You are analytical and enjoy researching new topics and turning complex information into clear and structured overviews. You are comfortable working with presentations, documentation, and coordination and have strong attention to detail.
You are collaborative, organised, and proactive. You take responsibility, work independently, and are comfortable supporting several projects and activities at the same time. You communicate confidently in written and spoken English.
Most importantly, you are curious, open to learning, and interested in how collaboration, research, and new technologies can contribute to the future of textiles.
