M2 Film is looking for a Film & TV Production trainee (FTP apprentice)
Are you passionate about film production, and would you like to help create commercials and content — in formats big and small — that are visually and aesthetically compelling? And do you want to be part of the production team at Denmark’s leading supplier of commercials and branded content for all platforms? Then you might be the one we’re looking for.

Who is M2 Film?
We’re a company with 25 years behind us and a long track record. Our clients range widely — from large and small businesses to interest organisations, municipalities and educational institutions. We produce classic commercials, B2B films, information films and explainers for social media, as well as longer documentary and series formats.

We live and breathe effective storytelling that delivers results. Our in-house facilities cover everything from creative development through live action production, animation and post-production.

At M2 we’re one big family, each of us passionate about our own field. We’re equal parts creative, technical and production-minded. Together we bring out the best in each other in the pursuit of world-class film.

Who are you?
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about film production and loves geeking out over the technical side. Maybe you’re the type who gets up at 4:30 a.m. to catch the perfect sunrise light for your film? Or the type who always has a camera glued to your hand? If you’ve already tested your skills professionally, as a self-taught filmmaker or as a hobby — simply because you can’t help yourself — that’s a definite plus.

We don’t expect you to be a master of everything in the field, but we do expect plenty of drive and a desire to learn. We’re looking for someone with fire in their eyes: creative, talented, and with the courage and appetite to develop. You are currently taking, have completed, or are planning to start the FTP foundation programme.

In addition, we expect that you:

• Are outgoing, creative and self-driven
• Are technically skilled and quick to get to grips with new equipment, technologies and tools
• Are a positive team player who’s a pleasure to work with — also when the pace picks up
• Are curious, proactive and ready to tell stories that matter, and to work creatively with content
• Know how to be presentable and professional on assignment — out there, you are M2 Film’s ambassador
• Hold a driving licence
• Speak and understand English, as some of our assignments take place abroad

Our days in production vary, so you’ll need to be flexible.

What can we offer you?
As an FTP trainee at M2 Film you get a classic media education with a creative twist: sharpen your skills in camera, editing, sound and lighting, and learn how to create storytelling that engages. We often experiment with formats and test new ideas and trends — and your input can make a difference.

As a trainee with us you’ll primarily be on set, but you’ll also be introduced to editing and colour grading tasks. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about every part of the production process: concept development, cinematography, lighting, sound and post-production.

We’re an ambitious and informal workplace located in Filmbyen on the harbour front in Aarhus. We’re highly social both during and outside working hours, and you’ll quickly become part of the community.
