Your role in our team
At Terma, we offer multiple motivating positions in various departments within our System Engineering organization. As a Software Engineer intern, you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to the development and maintenance of Java-based backend systems while applying your theoretical knowledge in practice. Through active participation in ongoing development projects, you will work alongside experienced software engineers and contribute to meaningful solutions within the defense and aerospace domain.

As part of our Research & Development department, you will collaborate closely with development teams working with modern software technologies and structured development practices. You will gain insight into how robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems are designed, implemented, tested, and deployed.

How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:

• Implementing and refining backend components in Java
• Writing unit, component and integration tests
• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
• Supporting bug fixing and performance improvements
• Contributing to documentation in a structured development environment
