Take the opportunity to gain practical experience in Offshore Commodity Risk Management. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to understand how developments in energy and commodity markets affect offshore wind projects; contribute to standardized project risk reporting and help translate complex market information into practical insights for project decision-making. The role offers hands-on exposure to real project challenges while giving you the flexibility to balance professional experience with your studies.

About the Role

  • Analyse market trends that impact commodities, inflation, and offshore wind supply chains
  • Maintain exposure models, assumptions, and supporting data tracking how exposures evolve across lifecycle stages (pre-FID through operations)
  • Assist with analysis of project indexation risks, helping to inform risk management and hedging recommendations
  • Learn to use and apply our in-house modelling and reporting tools, providing analysis and insights to support project decision-making
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Procurement, Controlling and Commercial
  • Assist in preparing and delivering clear presentations and reports for project teams and senior management
  • Build your understanding of energy markets, commodity markets, offshore wind projects and risk management

Job requirements and experience

  • Currently enrolled in a degree programme in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar discipline
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, combined with an interest in solving complex problems
  • Keen interest in energy markets, offshore wind projects, and the commercial drivers influencing market developments
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively
  • Collaborative team player who is open to feedback and enjoys working in an international environment
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Curious, proactive and motivated to learn in a dynamic project Environment

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel; experience with Python, SQL, VBA, HTML, or Microsoft Azure would be beneficial
  • Experience with financial or cost modelling is beneficial, but not essential
