Your role as a Trainee – Business Engineer
As a Trainee Business Engineer you will join Customer Relations and Connections B2B within Vattenfall Eldistribution, where we partner with some of Sweden’s largest energy producers and large consumers. Here, you will have the chance to contribute to the energy transition and gain hands-on experience in supporting the large-scale electrification of society.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with customer connection projects, strategic customer relationships, and sustainable energy solutions. You will collaborate with customers, technical specialists, project managers and colleagues across the business, gradually taking on increasing responsibility for your own customer portfolio. This is an opportunity to develop expertise in key account management, customer engagement and electricity distribution while contributing to the energy transition and supporting solutions that create value for customers, Vattenfall, and society.
Your responsibilities:
- Support customer connection projects from initial dialogue through planning and implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to commercial discussions, customer agreements, and business development activities.
- Analyze customer needs and identify opportunities that support electrification and sustainable growth.
- Prepare business cases, cost estimates, and customer presentations.
- Support the development of innovative ways of working through digitalization and automation.
- Support the business in leveraging data, analytics, and reporting to improve decision-making across Vattenfall Eldistribution.
Qualifications
Your qualifications as a Trainee - Business Engineer
- University degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Engineering, Business or a related field.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- An interest in technical systems and to work with cost estimates and financial calculations.

To be considered for our traineeship, you should:
- Have completed, or expect to complete, an academic degree before the programme starts in March 2027
- Have no more than one year of relevant work experience after graduation, excluding internships and working-student roles
- Be available for the full-time programme from its start date
- Have the right to work in the country where the position is based, or meet the stated work-permit requirements
- Be open to mobility opportunities and collaborating across different locations.

Selection will start after the application period with online tests, followed by interviews between the end of October to end November.
