Are you studying for a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or Computer Science, and do you want real experience building a cloud/SaaS product used by customers around the world? Join our R&D team and ship features from the database all the way to the UI.
Unicontrol has made 3D machine control for excavators, wheel loaders and dozers accessible to many more contractors. We care a lot about usability, and our cloud platform connects customers' machines and projects.
What you'll do
- Build features across the whole stack: React UI, Python API and the database
- Work on our pluggable Flask backend, built around a small core
- Write tests and help us check that features work both in isolation and as complete solutions
- Talk with customers to make sure what we build is easy to use and solves their problems
Our stack
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, MUI, TanStack Query, Vite, Vitest, ESLint, Prettier
- Backend: Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy
- Data: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, IoT telemetry via ThingsBoard
- Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Bitbucket Pipelines, Grafana
About you
- You study SW engineering or Computer Science and can start in February 2027
- You have experience with React, Python and/or REST APIs
- You know the basics of database design
- You care about building interfaces that are very easy to use
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or AWS is a plus but not required
