(CML) has world-leading expertise in the mechanical, optical, electrical, software and controller silicon design for compact actuator solutions, making use of our patented Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) platform technology. SMA is a Nickel-Titanium alloy that has unique properties such that when the material is deformed it returns to its original shape when heated – a shape memory effect. When used in conjunction with proprietary electronic circuits and software, it functions as a miniature motor (actuator).
