Become a Buddy

Are you one of the Buddies for this year’s Buddy Programme? Do you want to expand your international network and are passionate about meeting new people? Do you want to have some great social experiences and make new friendships? Then you are the perfect candidate for Studenterlauget’s Buddy Programme! The Buddy Programme is an initiative that seeks to help new international students get accustomed to living in Aarhus and studying at Aarhus BSS, as well as make sure that their first experiences here in Aarhus are as good and fun as they can possibly be! Advantages of being a Buddy: ● You get to expand your international network as well as your network at AU BSS and become a part of Studenterlauget ● You develop yourself on a personal level and get to enhance your teamwork and learn to take responsibility for others ● ● ● ● The interaction with international students will help you improve your second language You will get a fun job with a lot of interesting challenges and experiences You get to participate in different kinds of social events, team competitions and parties Get an official certificate for your participation and a buddy t-shirt Being a Buddy includes: ● ● ● Being in a Buddy Team (with approx. 4 other Buddies and their Newcomers) Being prepared to answer questions about SL, AU, BSS and life in Denmark Giving advice on different practicalities the international students may have (e.g. shopping, transportation etc.) ● ● ● Arranging, as a minimum, 1 event during the fall semester with your Buddy Team Participating in different events with the whole Buddy Programme and other SL members Being able to participate in our information meeting May 17 . th As a Buddy you are hired from June and during the fall semester 2024. Please note: It is possible to be both a Buddy and an Introduction Week Rusinstruktor if you are interested in this. It is possible to apply by yourself or apply as a group of maximum 2 people. Furthermore, we would like to know why you wish to be a part of this programme.
