Are you studying at university and interested in gaining valuable experience in international finance within the humanitarian sector?
We are looking for an engaged student that can help with supporting our international operations by supporting financial tasks within the International Finance team at Danish Red Cross.

About the position:
As a student assistant your primary goal is to assist the International Finance team in supporting international operations, with a particular focus on the work of the Global Finance Officer and the International Controller and Advisors. You’ll be an important part of the team at the Copenhagen location, helping with cross-cutting financial tasks, project monitoring, and information management for the countries and programmes where the Danish Red Cross is present.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with colleagues from several countries – the employees in the team are working out of 3 countries – Lebanon, Kenya, and Denmark. This position will also give you the opportunity to work and develop your skills with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Power BI.

Your workplace will be the Danish Red Cross’ headquarters on Blegdamsvej in Copenhagen. Currently we are renovating the building, so there is a temporary office space on Titangade.

Tasks in headlines:

• Assist in preparing and organising financial reports and supporting documentation for donors and internal stakeholders
• Cross-cutting tasks for the International Finance team, including tool development, reconciliation support, and system updates
• Support International Finance section with monitoring and financial reporting on global projects, including budget versus actual analysis
• Support financial management tasks related to countries and Regional offices when required
• Organising monitoring reports, help to organize archiving and information sharing or follow up with other teams
• Support with Audit process for International Projects in collaboration with International Controllers and or the Global Finance officer

We are looking for you, who:

• Is studying – preferably within finance, economics, business or another related field (cand.merc., cand.polit. or similar)
• Has experience with or interest in finance systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerBI
• Is proficient in English, Danish is a plus
• Is structured and able to work independently
• Has strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Has a wish to work with finance in an international environment
