About the traineeship.

Your role as a Trainee – Financial Analyst
You will join the Corporate Finance & Analysis team, a small team supporting the CFO and other members of executive management with analysis and decision support on strategic financial topics across the Group. Operating in a rapidly changing energy market, we work on a wide range of topics that help shape Vattenfall's long-term direction.
You will contribute to financial analyses and decision-support material used by key stakeholders across the organisation. You will gain exposure to topics such as forecasting, business performance analysis, valuation and broader strategic and financial matters, while developing an understanding of both Vattenfall's business and the European energy sector.
We combine detailed financial analysis with a broader business perspective and work closely with colleagues across different parts of the organisation. This is an opportunity to develop your analytical skills and gain insight into the financial management of one of Europe's leading energy companies.
Your responsibilities:
- Financial analysis and forecasting
- Analysis of business performance and key financial drivers
- Preparation of presentations and decision-support material
- Monitoring financial, market and industry developments
Qualifications
Your qualifications as a Trainee – Financial Analyst
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, such as Industrial Engineering

To be considered for our traineeship, you should:
- Have completed, or expect to complete, an academic degree before the programme starts in March 2027
- Have no more than one year of relevant work experience after graduation, excluding internships and working-student roles
- Be fluent in English
- Be available for the full-time programme from its start date
- Have the right to work in the country where the position is based, or meet the stated work-permit requirements
- Be open to mobility opportunities and collaborating across different locations.

Selection will start after the application period with online tests, followed by interviews between the end of October to end November.
