Student Assistant - DTU Compute

We are looking for a student to help develop and test AI-supported online mathematics tutorials using RAG and Quarto.
The job
You will:
- develop and test RAG-based support for Quarto mathematics tutorials
- work with course notes in PDF/Markdown and improve retrieval and AI responses
- test the solution on new MAT1 material and InterMat
- contribute code via Git/GitHub
Our expectations of you
- have experience as a teaching assistant in mathematics
- know Python, Git/GitHub and Markdown
- have experience with AI/LLMs and/or RAG
- have an interest in mathematics teaching and digital learning
Experience with Quarto is an advantage. Danish language skills are an advantage, but the work can be carried out in English.
What we offer in return
A flexible student job working with mathematics, AI and open-source educational software together with DTU teachers and developers. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the project lead, and you should therefore be able to meet in person at DTU approximately once a week.
Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement for student lecturers at universities etc. (SUL). See hourly pay rates here.
Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is December 1, 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
