Find your motivation for your grant application

The first thing you should ask yourself is what you need a grant for. You won’t get a grant for a daytrip or going shopping with your friends. You should naturally be able to argue why you specifically should get a grant. Based on this, it’s also easier to find the grants you can apply for. Many grants are exclusive to specific educations and purposes, such as studying abroad or research within a specific field.

Check out the major grants first

We’ve developed the grants page on studerendeonline.dk so that you can now get an overview of several large grants that often have open deadlines. Many of these grants aren’t exclusive to specific educations, which means everyone can apply for them. Do mind that these grants are also the most sought-after so you will often need to apply for several different ones to secure a grant. Check out grants here.

Use the search module to sort through grants

If you’re going for a more specific grant, it’s a good idea to use the search module on this site, where you can filter by your educational background or the purpose of the grant. It can also be a good idea to check the grant’s geographical area, since many grants are exclusive to certain areas – and the application deadlines for the specific grants. On the grant page, you can also find several grants with an upcoming deadline.

Write a decent application

It’s important that you focus on the contents of your application, if you want to be considered for a grant. You can read more about a strong grant application here. If you need inspiration, you can find three examples of grant applications here:

  • Grant application for thesis, projects and similar
  • Grant application for studying abroad, internships and similar
  • Grant application for general financial support
