How to contribute to our vision
This role of Assistant Planner will be part of Resource Management within the Heavy Lift team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Service (Global Operations). This role will be working in a team which focuses principally on planning and scheduling of highly trained technicians to work on offshore Jack Up vessels in Europe, North America, and Taiwan.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Assist with the Planning, scheduling and deployment of fully qualified and medically fit UK and European resources in line with departmental execution of all Jack Up Operations Critical Task activities.
  • Pro-actively assist with the management of all training certification for the UK/DK/DE Technicians & Subcontractor pool of Jack Up Operations resources. Liaise with the Siemens Gamesa Global Training Department to ensure all training requirements & re-certification is kept up to date (to allow continuous operation).
  • Assist with the management of; timely Shift pattern change notification, general shift pattern management, weather days, stand down days, training days, holidays and sick days in line with the Technician Contract.
  • Working Closely with Operational Program Managers to optimize the scheduling and work patterns to deliver planned work scopes, including pro-active maintenance of manning levels on any given project.
  • Co-ordination & control of sub-contractors and internal Global resources deployed within Heavy Lift Operations.
  • Assist with weekly/monthly planning review meetings and ensure all key stakeholders are in attendance.
  • Support with the control & management of Technician Hours, allowances, hour’s burn rate.
  • Supporting the finance teams with Purchase Orders and Invoice approvals, both in UK and DK.
  • Assist management and team on a daily basis.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled at a university in Denmark studying Business or similar field on a bachelor´s or master´s level. Additional requirements are the following:

  • You will have excellent attention to detail and be an organized individual who can handle multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Basic understanding of wind industry. Good knowledge of Siemens Turbine types beneficial.
  • Good at following processes and procedures but maintaining the ability to think outside the box.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • To be part of a dedicated major projects team.
  • To carry out warranty and maintenance work in line with company manuals and standards.
