BCN AI Design Assistant

For our office in Barcelona, we are looking for talented and self-motivated students interested in helping us push the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence in architectural practice. The internship will focus on assisting with the research and development of novel AI-driven tools and workflows for the design and documentation process. We are seeking individuals experienced in diffusion models, especially with knowledge of Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, and open-source LLMs.

As an Intern at BIG, you will:

• Experience a dynamic and inspiring environment in an international creative community.
• Collaborate alongside and learn from some of the best architects in the field.
• Play a key role in exploring, developing, and documenting AI methodologies in architectural design.
• Help educate and train our team on existing and new AI tools and workflows.

To be considered, you must:

• Apply only if your internship can run for a minimum of 7 months working fulltime.
• Have at least 2 years of architecture school behind you.
• Have a good understanding of the current AI landscape and the different models.
• High level of proficiency with off-the-shelf image generation platforms.
• Proven experienced with Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI and LoRa´s.
• Have a strong knowledge and experience with Rhino, Grasshopper and the Adobe package.
• Have a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working.
• Be able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction.
• Have great interpersonal communication skills.
• Be fluent in English.
• Be a current student and won’t graduate during your internship. We will follow up on your educational status as it will be required to sign an internship agreement.
• Full-time availability.
