Junior Accessories Development Assistant

GANNI IS LOOKING FOR A PART-TIME JUNIOR ACCESSORIES DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT TO JOIN OUR ACCESSORIES TEAM IN PARIS FOR 6 MONTHS.

YOUR MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES AHEAD OF YOU
As a Junior Accessories Development Assistant, you will be working in close cooperation with our developers and production manager on the accessories team.
The Junior Accessories Development Assistant will assist with all tasks related to accessories throughout both the development stage as well as production, with a large focus on material development.
This includes helping in sourcing, material prototyping, and testing, creating collection data related to materials, keeping the critical path, as well as assisting with follow-up with all suppliers.

You will be working as part of the full product team with;

• Sourcing new responsible materials
• Launching material prototypes according to developer’s and production manager’s needs
• Follow up with all suppliers to ensure they maintain critical paths
• Gathering necessary documentation for all materials in production
• Maintaining master data throughout the product life-cycle in assistance to the development team
• Launching material lab tests and wear tests, and gathering quality input for the production team
• Overall assistance with daily tasks within the accessories team

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS
We need a team player with a high sense of the fashion business:

• Understanding of the fashion industry (knowledge of accessories particularly would be appreciated)
• Strong interest in innovation within the fashion industry, especially in materials
• High level of written and spoken English with good communication skills
• Strong understanding of critical timelines related to the fashion industry
• Organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency
• Flair for working with multiple digital tools and platforms and a high level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of Microsoft NAVISION is an advantage
