Looking to grow your skills in AI and data analytics? As a Student Analyst you’ll work with commercial and technical teams to optimize digital trading, and help drive Abacus Medicine forward on its exciting growth journey.

Drive meaningful change
Join our team as a Student Analyst to help enhance our digital trading models and infrastructure. In this role, you’ll primarily work on analyzing and improving trading systems, utilizing data analytics to drive performance and optimize operations. You’ll collaborate with both commercial and technical teams to ensure that our trading models align with business goals. While exploring AI and machine learning applications is a part of the role, the core focus will be on maintaining and developing trading models that improve overall efficiency and support strategic initiatives.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Enhance and maintain digital trading products and models to align with business goals, focusing on trading systems and optimization, with some involvement in AI/ML integrations.
  
• Gather, analyze, and report performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making and improve trading models through analytics.
  
• Collaborate with commercial and technical teams on various projects, assisting in the development of trading solutions and translating business insights into actionable tasks.
  
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholder meetings, supporting effective communication and gathering valuable feedback.
  
• Provide research and analytical support to identify opportunities for operational improvements, with a focus on enhancing the performance of trading models and systems.

Your Profile
We are looking for a Student Analyst, currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related disciplines (e.g., cand.merc., cand.polit., or similar), with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, eager to collaborate on innovative projects. In addition, we highly value if you have interest in learning about AI and machine learning applications in trading or financial systems.

Furthermore, we imagine you have:

• Prior experience in an analytical or research role is a plus (e.g., internships, academic projects).
• Basic understanding of data analysis, financial systems, or trading models is desirable.
• Basic understanding of data processing and reporting.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, including MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, Python, or Power BI is an advantage but not required.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
