Who are we?
William Demant Invest A/S (WDI) is an evergreen investment company, wholly owned by the charitable William Demant Foundation and the holding company for William Demant Foundation's activities. We are located in Smørum at the headquarters of our largest investment, Demant A/S, with whom we share office space.

Our everyday in WDI includes various tasks in relation to managing our portfolio of investments portfolio reporting to management,interacting with management in the companies and screening new investment opportunities.

What we can offer:

• Work in an investment company focusing on investments with a potentially life-long (evergreen) ownership horizon based in the headquarters of our largest investment, Demant A/S, with almost 2,000 colleagues.
• Join a small investment team, including the Investment Director, the Investment Manager, which you will be reporting to and the CEO, with whom you will also have occasional interaction.
• Become part of the annual cycle of an evergreen investment company with a portfolio value of approx. DKK 60 billion operating in a flat organisation with a note of informality and great colleagues.

Your contribution:
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team. Your role will be to support the investment team in the various daily tasks and have your own responsibility areas in that regard:

The tasks include:

• Reporting of monthly portfolio performance in writing, including performance in the individual portfolio companies when they present their quarterly reporting.
• Maintaining and improving financial models for i) portfolio performance, ii) tracking of financial performance in portfolio companies incl. valuation metrics and iii) screening and new investments.
• Preparation and update of presentations and memos (potentially in relation to new investment cases).
• Potential to participate in meetings with management in the portfolio companies and other networking meetings.
• Support in preparing the annual report and board material.
• Ad hoc tasks, including benchmark analysis and other analytical tasks.

Your background and personal competencies:

• You have a good understanding of numbers and extensive writing skills
• You are most likely about to finish your bachelor’s degree within finance, investment, economics, commercial law, political sciences or another relevant field of study
• You have good analytical skills, are focused, motivated and eager to learn
• You pay great attention to details and have a structured way of working
• You are a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• You are a team player able to work efficiently and responsibly and never too shy to ask
• You are positive, open-minded and feel comfortable working in a busy and informal environment
• Understanding of finance, financial reporting and basic investment theory can be advantageous

We anticipate that your employment will align with your academic schedule, requiring an average commitment of about 15 hours per week, which could ideally be arranged over two complete days.
