Who we’re looking for
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized student assistant to join our local HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team. As a student assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HSE staff in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our department. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with a keen interest in HSE-related topics, including risk management, emergency response, health, and environment, to gain valuable experience in a professional environment.
We are looking for a person who enjoys working in a dynamic team, has excellent organizational skills, and is eager to learn and contribute to our HSE initiatives. The position requires a commitment of 15 hours per week, primarily at our offices in Ravnholm.
In this role, your responsibilities will include collaborating with HSE staff to identify and assess potential risks in the workplace. You will assist in the preparation and maintenance of emergency response plans.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include participation in emergency management:
- Collaborating with HSE staff to identify and assess potential emergency scenarios, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and providing guidance to departments on appropriate mitigation and response strategies
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of emergency response plans, including the creation of action cards and instructional materials
- Supporting departments in the planning, execution, and evaluation of emergency drills, emphasizing on identifying areas for improvement and enhancing emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be maintaining the availability of health-related Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as medipacks in the PPE room and equipment at the fitness stations across the site. This will involve ensuring that these resources are well-stocked and easily accessible to employees. Furthermore, you will assist in preparing HSE information materials for HSE campaigns, contributing to the promotion of HSE initiatives and raising awareness among employees.
What you’ll bring
You are in the middle of your Bachelor’s degree or just started your Master’s studies. Our ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Risk management or a related field. You will have
- Communication skills in both Danish and English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using Office 365, with emphasis on PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to seek knowledge and establish network relations within Topsoe
- Interest in HSE-related topics, including the use of chemicals, waste handling, health, ergonomics, technical safety, and emergency management, with a desire to learn more
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude.
