We are seeking a new colleague to join our Danish Product Design & Application team in Hørsholm. In this role, you'll have an impact on continuously improving our application center and ensuring that we are delivering products to our customers that complies to the food safety standards (ISO22000). You will collaborate closely with our scientists, technicians, R&D and Sales, and Commercial teams.

The Product Design & Application team is a vital part of Human Health Biosolutions (HHB), and we specialize in creating science-based biosolutions for our customers, focusing on the formulation, implementation, and troubleshooting of solid dosage forms containing pre-, post-, and probiotics. We develop innovative products, both with and without additional nutrients, produce consumer samples, and scale up product manufacturing.

Our team consists of 14 members -12 academics and 2 technicians - ranging from newly graduated to highly experienced professionals, including pharmacists, food scientists, and biotechnology engineers. We are driven, self-motivated, and energetic, with a strong passion for teamwork, and a great sense of humor.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

Contributing through your work to maintain our position as market leader in probiotics for the supplement and special nutrition industries, while also expanding our position in pre- and postbiotic solutions.

• Support our responsible food safety development scientist in ensuring food compliance (ISO22000) of our application center. Responsible for identifying areas of improvement and maintenance of existing SOPs.

• Coordinate manufacturing and shipment of our customer samples

• Support implementation of new raw materials

• Plan and support manufacturing of products for clinical trials

• Plan, execute and document experiments in Benchling

• Coordinate environmental monitoring plans; cleaning, water, drain samples, air and allergens

• Support training of team in HACCP and allergen handling

• Ensure good collaboration with scientists, technicians and other relevant stakeholders

To succeed you must hold:

• A Master's degree in pharmacy, food science, or a related field

• Preferably a few years of experience in formulation development of dietary supplements or pharmaceutical oil, liquid or powder products or experience into product characterization and or stability

• A strong personal drive, self-motivation, energy, and passion for teamwork, accompanied by a great sense of humor

• Excellent communication skills, who enjoys working in an international environment
