The Center for Industrial Software Engineering in Sønderborg is seeking a dedicated student developer to support the development of the Cyber-Safe Lab and contribute to the Cyber-Safe Robotics Project over the next two years. In this role, you will assist in building and maintaining the Cyber-Safe Lab within our department and contribute to the innovative research project Cyber-Safe Robotics focused on making robotic systems more secure through secure coding practices, robust cybersecurity protocols, and system vulnerability assessments.
Position Overview:
As a student developer, you will help establish the Cyber-Safe Lab infrastructure and contribute actively to the Cyber-Safe Robotics Project. This project is dedicated to strengthening the security of robotic systems through secure communication protocols, data protection measures, and secure software development practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber-Safe Lab Development:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining secure infrastructure for cybersecurity research.
- Deploy and configure security tools to support research within the Cyber-Safe Lab.
- Help create a secure development environment for coding, vulnerability testing, and security assessments.
- Cyber-Safe Robotics Project Contributions:
- Implement secure coding practices for dev
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of robotic systems and recommend solutions to enhance their security.
- Design and implement a custom vulnerability scanner tailored for robotic systems to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate on secure system architecture designs to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of robotic data.
- Automate security testing and monitoring processes for robotic platforms.
- Research Support:
- Contribute to technical documentation and cybersecurity reports.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats in robotics and apply insights to enhance lab and project practices.
- Assist in preparing presentations and demonstrations to showcase research findings.
While specific experience is not a requirement, it would be nice if you have some familiarity with cybersecurity principles, secure coding practices, or programming experience in languages such as Python, C++, or others related to robotics. Analytical and problem-solving skills would also be beneficial in this role.
