At the Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Architecture, Design & Media Technology at the Department of Electronic Systems, Aalborg University, Campus Copenhagen a combined position as Research Assistant in Media Technology and Electronic Systems is open for appointment for 14,8 hours per week from February 1, 2025 or soon thereafter. The position is available for a period of 17 months, until June 30, 2026. The Department of Architecture, Design, and Media Technology has as its goal the development of an innovative cluster of engineering-based environments for education and research which integrate creativity, engineering and technology within the disciplines of architecture, urban design, industrial design, digital design and interactive media. The department is a leading research and educational environment in Denmark that addresses the challenge of the interplay between creativity and technology, and develops new areas in research and education directed towards the end-user. The Department of Electronic Systems strives to be internationally recognised as a leader in digital technologies – a department with coherent activities within research, education, development and industry cooperation. The Department conducts world-class research in areas ranging from communication, antennas, control systems, AI, sound, cybersecurity and robotics. Jobbeskrivelse
Teaching and supervision will primarily be within the Medialogy Bachelor and Master educations but also in other study programmes at the University.
Apart from that, the position also includes the following responsibilities at Department of Electronic Systems:
- Independently coordinate and organize help and support for students and staff in the IOT Lab.
- Being responsible for both developing and maintaining an equipment borrowing. system/database.
- Being responsible for organizing as well as maintaining lab equipment.
- Being responsible for registrering current and new equipment.
- Being responsible for supervising students in the use of lab-equipment such as IOT equipment and tools well as e.g. building circuit boards.
- Being responsible for explaining how to use some sensors or how to setup Arduino and raspberry pie
- Being responsible for helping with Arduino IDE programming and in general how to translate an idea to code
- Being responsible for helping with computer vision and data analysis in python for raspberry pie
- Providing professors with equipment for lectures and preparing the equipment for them.

Qualification requirements
The required level of qualifications is at master level.
Appointment to Research Assistant may be for a period of up to three years. Reappointment may be made, but a Research Assistant can only be appointed to Research Assistant for a period of maximum three years. Assessment
The assessment of candidates for the position will be carried out by qualified experts.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that after the application deadline, the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select the applicants to be assessed. All applicants will be informed whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.
When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.

Løn og ansættelsesvilkår
