Lead Clinical Science and Create New Opportunities in Cancer Research
We are engaged in high-potential international projects and collaborations that focus on the clinical utility of novel extracellular matrix-based biomarkers to identify and treat cancer patients more effectively. As a scientist, you will:
- Drive cancer biomarker research: Lead biomarker investigations in different cancer indications and help develop solutions that could transform diagnostics and treatment, with an eye toward both scientific rigor and market potential.
- Foster strategic partnerships: Build alliances and collaborations with external stakeholders, including EU-funded projects, biotech startups, big pharma, and other key opinion leaders.
- Explore commercial potential: Engage in business development efforts and communication to position Nordic Bioscience to influence both clinical practice and the biotech market.
- Shape the future of cancer care: Contribute to high-impact scientific papers and present your work at international conferences.
- Mentor and inspire: Guide and supervise PhD/MSc students and laboratory technicians.
Entrepreneurial Experience in Cancer Research
We are seeking a scientist with an interest in clinical cancer research and an entrepreneurial spirit. We expect you to take ownership of ongoing and new initiatives, and drive projects that not only meet scientific milestones but also hold promise for real-world application and commercialization.
You have a MSc/PhD in biology, biomedicine, biochemistry, biomedical sciences or alike. Good communication skills in English, both written and orally, is expected. Experience in biomarkers, clinical research, and biotechnology commercialization would be a plus. You thrive by presenting data for collaborators and external stakeholders. You are proactive and keen to collaborate to turn cutting-edge research into scientific and commercial success.
Our team is at the forefront of blood-based extracellular matrix biomarker development, focused on detecting and understanding cancer progression in the context of tumor fibrosis. Our work is supported by strong scientific foundations and collaborations with world leaders in cancer research. We are expanding to include an additional scientist in the team who will help us accelerate our pre-clinical and clinical data packages by setting up and driving internally and externally founded projects.
