Do you want hands-on experience in an international NGO environment? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you as an intern at DanChurchAid headquarter in Copenhagen.
About the Position
As an International Communications Intern, you will join a dynamic and ambitious team working on press relations, climate advocacy and political advocacy in Denmark, and international communication with key partners and donors such as the EU, UN, and USAID.
Our team manages https://www.danchurchaid.org/ and multiple English-language social media channels while collaborating closely with our 19 country offices worldwide.
Together, we produce stories and document the results of our humanitarian and development work globally.
You’ll contribute by:
- Advising and collaborating with colleagues from offices in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa on video production, text creation, and graphic design for their channels.
- Creating high-quality content for https://www.danchurchaid.org/ and other DanChurchAid platforms, including news articles, videos, and social media posts.
- Supporting strategic communication efforts in collaboration with the General Secretariat team.
This newly created position allows you to help shape the role. You’ll work closely with dedicated colleagues, including two other interns focusing on climate and political advocacy.
What You’ll Gain

Your Qualifications
We are looking for an English (and Danish if possible) speaking candidate with the following qualifications:
- Is proficient in Premiere Pro, Word Press, and photo editing tools.
- Has a proactive, creative approach to SoMe production
- Keen interest in global humanitarian and development work
- Other languages like Arabic, French is an add-on
- To be eligible to apply, you must be an active student currently enrolled in a recognized educational institution
Practical Details
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark.
Duration: 3–5 months, from February 1. 2025
Working hours: Flexible
The position is unpaid, lunch, computer and workstation is included.
You should be able to come to the office in Copenhagen 4 days a week (without financial or visa support from DCA) with the possibility of working from home on other days. DCA is not in position to offer any relocation or visa support for this internship.
