At the Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Computer Science a position as Research Assistant in Demonstrator Development is open for appointment from 01.03.2025 – 28.02.2026 or soon hereafter. The position is available for a period of 12 months. Research areas will be within those of the research unit Distributed, Embedded and Intelligent Systems. The position involves turning application of research on real problems into demonstrators is useful in marketing the usefulness of the research itself, as a tool in further research, and to prove efficacy of the applied method.

Qualification requirements
The required level of qualification includes bachelor and masters degree in computer science or software engineering with excellent grades; knowledge of model-checking.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team and excellent communication skills in English, oral and written.
Due to the prototyping of physical demonstrators you also need strong skills(no degrees required) in 3D-design, fabrication(3d-print or conventional subtractive), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, embedded software development, and related skills within this list of domains.
Appointment to Research Assistant may be for a period of up to three years. Reappointment may be made, but a Research Assistant can only be appointed to Research Assistant for a period of maximum three years. - Copy of relevant diplomas(Master of Science and, if any, PhD- both in english).
- Descriptions(could be blog-posts, pictures with adequate explanation) of projects where you applied your strong non-Computer Science skills wrt. prototyping.
- Dissemination qualifications, including participation on committees or boards, participation in organisations and the like(optional).
- References/recommendations.

Assessment
The assessment of candidates for the position will be carried out by qualified experts.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that after the application deadline, the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select the applicants to be assessed. All applicants will be informed whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.
When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.

The employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities(the Appointment Order) and the Ministerial Order on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the state(AC collective agreement)(only in Danish) and circular concerning protocol on certain terms of employment of academic staff at universities(only in Danish).
