Welcome to Business Finance – R&D and enabling functions
We are part of a global Business Finance function, a diverse and closely connected group responsible for financial planning and analysis as well as partnering towards various business areas to help drive performance, value creation and profitability in close collaboration with Senior Leadership.

Our team supports a great number of stakeholders within the business areas of R&D, People and Stakeholder relations, Strategy & Integration and CFO area. We share an ambition to tackle complex issues in a broad stakeholder environment while keeping a good team dynamic and mutual support for each other.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
In this role, you’ll make an impact by enhancing financial reporting, help drive our annual wheel and through supporting projects related to post-merger integration. You’ll get opportunities to develop your financial and commercial toolbox and to build a strong network within our organization. Moreover, you will be an integral part of an international group of skilled finance professionals.

As part of Business Finance, you will help empower people, enable decision making and create the agility that will strengthen Novonesis’ competitive edge in this pivotal moment in our journey.

Your responsibilities and activities are broad-ranging and can include:

• Help and drive our annual wheel: yearly budgeting process, quarterly forecast, monthly reporting on various KPIs,…
• Support performance management initiatives and align processes across the organization.
• Help drive yearly financial planning.
• Actively contributing to ad-hoc finance – and business projects. Mainly related to post-merger alignment of various tools and processes.
• Participating in the continuous development and optimization of financial processes and tools.

To succeed as a Student Assistant in Business Finance, you will need to:

• Be in your bachelor/master preferably within Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• Have solid academic track record.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Speak and write English fluently.
• Be a team-player with the ability and willingness to build a network within the organization at all levels.
• Be able to invest 15-20 hours/week, flexible during exams.
• Be proactive, curious and able to approach a problem in a structured way.
• Want to be challenged and able to challenge us.
• Have a flair for numbers and a passion for financial analysis and insights.
• Have a sense for detail and ability to grasp highly complex issues.
• Have a pleasant personality and like to have fun on the way.
