About our team
Welcome to the Trading team. We are a multi-asset trading desk who adds value by delivering a high quality service level within the area of equity trading, mortgage bond trading and investment products. We support Personal Banking, Private Banking and Business Banking clients with all forms of trading in Nordea’s online and offline channels. Our core competence is to understand the complete value chain from what the client experiences to the most technical details within trading of financial products.

As the Student in the Trading team, you will play a valuable role in supporting the mortgage bond trading flow and related tasks carried out by the team. As you master this area of the business, we expect you to seek more responsibilities within the trading and investment product space, only you set the limitations.

You’ll join a team consisting of 8 employees who are highly passionate about investments and great customer experiences.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:

• Covering our retail mortgage bond trading desk
• Facilitating spot and forward trades related to mortgage bond financing with Nordea Kredit
• Assisting advisors and relationship managers with execution of mortgage bond trades
• Various tasks related to equity trading and maintenance of our investment platform
• Daily operational tasks
• Projects and ad hoc tasks in collaboration with Traders or Product Managers

The role is based in Copenhagen.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you are/have:

• A basic knowledge about fixed income and financial markets
• A genuine interest in learning about all aspects of financial markets and hands-on trading in the banking industry
• Comfortable working in Excel
• Naturally good with IT and quickly learn new systems and software
• Able to work at the office at least 20 hours/week (within regular EU trading hours)
• Proactive and able to demonstrate the will and courage to take ownership of the daily business

Your experience and background:

• Current finance or business student at a leading university or business school
• Personal interest in investment products and financial markets
• Fluent in Danish
• Experience within banking or finance is an advantage but not required
