The Data, Knowledge, and Web Engineering group, Department of Computer Science, The Technical Faculty of IT and Design, invites applications for a position as research assistant from March 1, 2025. The position is a fixed-term position for 3 months. The place of work is the Aalborg Campus.

Your job responsibilities
Your main tasks will consist of developing a synthetic version of a Danish healthcare dataset and assessing its privacy level and utility as well as documenting the results in a scientific publication aimed for publication in a peer reviewed journal.
The project is carried out in collaboration with the Center for Clinical Data Science, Aalborg University Hospital.
Your competences
You have an MSc degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field.
Required qualifications:
- Good programming skills in Python
- Knowledge on synthetic data generation and their privacy and utility assessment
- Familiarity with health data
- As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment.
We expect you to be able to write and speak English at the academic level.
