The Data, Knowledge, and Web Engineering group, Department of Computer Science, The Technical Faculty of IT and Design, invites applications for a position as research assistant from March 1, 2025. The position is a fixed-term position that ends in December 2025. The place of work is the Aalborg Campus. The Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University is highly regarded among researchers, students, and external partners because of its leading research, education, and collaboration. The department currently has more than 150 scientific staff, 20 administrative staff, and 1,300 students. Your job responsibilities
- Performing research within knowledge graph-based methods for recommender systems
- Writing and contributing to scientific papers
- Programming and testing baseline methods as well as new methods
Qualification Requirements
You have an MSc degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field.
Required qualifications:
- Good programming skills in Python
- In-depth knowledge about recommender systems
- In-depth knowledge and programming skills in machine learning frameworks used in recommender systems
- As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment.
We expect you to be able to write and speak English at the academic level.
Assessment
The assessment of candidates for the position will be carried out by qualified experts.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that after the application deadline, the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select the applicants to be assessed. All applicants will be informed whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.
When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.
