About the opportunity
You will work together with the Business Finance & Analytics team consisting of 12 passionate professionals with skillsets covering e.g. Commercial Planning, Strategic Finance incl. M&A, BI and Data Science. You will be working out of our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark.
Your primary areas of responsibility will be:
- Support the Vice President of Business Development in strategy, target landscaping & pipeline management, and due diligence project support on e.g. M&A opportunities
- Conducting strategic analysis in both Excel and PowerPoint, as well as performing data analysis
- Provide support with ad-hoc analysis across various Finance tasks
The main working area will be to collaborate with the Vice President of Business Development, supporting the identification, evaluating, and executing potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Key responsibilities include:
- Market & Industry Analysis, Landscaping, and Target Profiling: In collaboration with global/regional marketing and corporate strategy conduct in depth market research on current trends and segments of interest. Landscape potential list of targets in prioritized segments and create target profiles for select companies and opprtunities.
- Due Diligence Support: Support the project management of the M&A end-to-end process and due diligence. Preparation of weekly materials, organization of functional workstreams/deliverables, management of data rooms, and support updates to management as needed.
- Business Case Development: Support financial business case development and presentations to support decision making on M&A opportunities.
We expect you to work 15-20 hours per week corresponding to 2 or 3 days a week. We are of course flexible in exam periods and during the summer holiday.
Preferably you are studying in the area of economics, business economics, finance, or strategy. We expect that you have an academic background in relevant fields, and it is important that you are proactive and like to take ownership of tasks. At the same time, you will collaborate extensively with the Vice President of Business Development, who is based in the US, as his primary support.
Commercial mindset and able to handle data in Excel
You need to have a commercial mindset. You must be energetic and have a toolbox of analytical and strategic skills to be successful in the job. It is important that you have a structured and systematic approach to your tasks. It is crucial that you have good oral and writing skills in both Danish and English as most material will be made in English. Furthermore, you will have a daily dialogue with the Vice President of Business Development, who is based in the US. You also need to have good PowerPoint and Excel skills as you will work with numbers in Excel and prepare presentations in PowerPoint.
