Student Assistant – ESG and Compliance

Join Aalborg Energie Technik's (AET) Quality, HSE & CSR team as a Student Assistant and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. You’ll play a key role in advancing our ESG initiatives, compliance processes, and IT security efforts, contributing to innovative projects and the green transition.

Although there are many abbreviations and technical terms used in this field, at its core, this role is all about sustainability. Don’t worry if you're not familiar with all the specifics—we'll make sure to teach you everything you need to know!

This position has been created due to the pregnancy of our highly skilled and dedicated student assistant, who will be on maternity leave. You will receive training on the job and have the opportunity for job shadowing to ensure a smooth transition into the role. We can also agree on the number of working hours to fit your availability and needs.

AET is a leading engineering and contracting company specializing in biomass-fired boiler plants, power plants, and combined heat and power plants (CHP) ranging from 25 to 170 MWth. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in sustainability, compliance, and organizational systems while making an impact in the energy sector.

Main Responsibilities
In this role, your tasks will primarily focus on:

CSRD/ESG Reporting

• Supporting the development of internal processes and systems for ESG and CSRD compliance.
• Assisting in the collection and organization of data for specific key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.

Compliance Activities

• Supporting IT security efforts, including ongoing implementation of compliance requirements related to IT security standards.
• Assisting in GDPR compliance initiatives, NIS2 implementation, and system optimization.

Internal Document Management System and Project Management Tool

• Assisting with the organization and management of activities in our Internal Document Management System and Project Management Tool.
• Updating existing documents and creating new ones.
• Drafting descriptions based on input from colleagues.
• Acting as a superuser to help colleagues with features and processes in the system.

You will receive a thorough introduction to the relevant programs and systems as part of your onboarding.

Your Profile
We’re looking for a student currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as business, law, environmental studies, or IT, who is passionate about ESG, compliance, and sustainability.

Additional qualifications:

• Fluency in both written and spoken Danish and English.
• A friendly and approachable personality.
• Strong attention to detail and good prioritization skills.
• Proactive and independent working style.
• Flexible mindset with strong communication skills.
