Student Assistant in Sustainability

The role and impact
We are now looking for a student assistant to be part of our Sustainability Team. You will be part of a diverse team of highly skilled specialists, and we are counting on you to help us with data collection, handling and processing, comparative analysis, and a variety of other tasks.

To succeed in the role, you are a quick learner and are eager to bring new ideas to the table, helping us improve workflows and develop procedures. You are detail oriented, set high standards and consistently meet and surpass them. You have a passion for sustainability both environmental and social, combined with an understanding of life cycle assessment tools and methodologies. We are looking for a person with good organization skills, who can extract the important information from large amounts of data.

We expect you to work around 10-15 hours weekly – possibly more during summer breaks and we are of course flexible during exam periods.

Your responsibilities

• Testing and evaluating Excel calculation tools for semi-automated import of Simapro processes
• Support the team in data collection for LCA, avoided emissions, sustainability reporting, and local donations

Analyze and compare sustainability standards and support the Global Commercial organization in evaluating and understanding the outcomes from applying different standards

What you’ll bring
We are looking for a bachelor student or a master student in their first semester of the master, who is proactive and curious, always ready to delve into new challenges and explore sustainable development. Our ideal candidate will be capable of quickly absorbing new information and applying it critically and effectively. A commitment to delivering high quality work is essential, with attention to detail that ensures all tasks are completed to the highest standard. Furthermore, excellent communication skills are key, with fluency in both spoken and written English to facilitate clear and effective interactions within our diverse team. We collaborate with specialists working with complicated technical processes and we expect you to have a fundamental understanding of technical aspects or are eager to learn the technical concepts that we work with.
