Job Description
We are looking for a student worker to join our team in Danfoss Group M&A, in our office in Copenhagen or Nordborg.

At our office in Copenhagen/Nordborg, we seek a talented student for the M&A and Strategy department with a strong interest in M&A transactions. Together with a team of dynamic colleagues covering a broad range of academic backgrounds and skillsets, you will be involved in M&A advisory and project related tasks, including strategic and technology driven strategy and investments. In its M&A scope, the department also targets technology startups and growth companies as a strategic investor to gain access to product and service innovations and expand Danfoss’ portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
You will get the opportunity to take part in a variety of tasks and your main responsibilities can include:

• Source and analyze different companies according to specific investment themes through desk research, participation in conferences and VC/advisor networks
• Develop valuations, deal structures and financial modelling for M&A targets
• Participate in due diligence of companies and support preparation of investment mandate presentations to executive management
• Support reporting and follow-up of business plans of Danfoss businesses
• Contribute and participate in cross-functional and corporate development projects

Background & Skills
Preferably you are in the process of completing a bachelor or have just embarked on your master’s degree within either business/finance/economics or engineering with a commercial mindset with top tier results within the required fields. Furthermore, you:

• have solid analytical skills, with a structured approach to problem solving
• enjoy following technology trends and engaging with technology startups
• preferably have advanced excel and power point skills
• are proactive and able to work independently as well as in teams
• have an ability to ensure high-quality deliverables on time
• preferably have experience from a tech startup, consultancy, financial advisor, or similar job function

To succeed in this role, you have a strong commercial and technical interest with a financial mindset, being able to understand strategic requirements. Furthermore, you are a quick learner and have good English communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Danish is not required.

As our preferred candidate, you can work independently on the tasks given to you and are willing to take on various kinds of challenges – strategic, operational as well as practical tasks. Workload of average 15-20 hours a week expected, with flexibility in exam periods. At peak periods, you should be able to work flexible hours.
