Do you want to contribute to fighting poverty and inequality in the world? Are you interested in education, human rights, and international development? Do you see education as important for developing people and societies? Then you might be the intern that we would like to engage in Oxfam’s education work.
Background
Oxfam Denmark is part of the international confederation, Oxfam, that works to fight extreme inequality in the world. As an intern, you will contribute to this work in developing countries, globally and in Denmark.
Internship assignments
- Analysis, mapping, and documentation of education-related topics and processes
- Support project-related work within the education thematic area
- Communication work, including newsletters, case stories, text, and visual presentations
- Support planning and facilitating events, workshops, and processes related to our education work – both online and physical
- Follow national and international task teams in and outside Oxfam
- Support in developing and maintaining databases and statistics
Competences needed
- You are currently undertaking a university degree in a relevant field
- You are interested in education and international development
- You are strategic and capable of working independently and as part of a team to reach a common goal
- You possess good writing skills and are able to communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way – both orally and in writing
- You speak and write English fluently
- You like being part of a team of good colleagues and engage in social activities
Competences – nice to have
- French or Spanish language skills
- Experience in using MS Excel and creating/maintaining databases
- Experience in setting up and using online/digital learning platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams or PADLET/MIRO
- Experience with AI and digital tools for layout such as CANVA
We offer
Working hours are 37 hours (full time) per week and the duration of the internship is 5 months starting 01 September 2025. We are flexible in terms of adapting working hours to your studies and student jobs. In September, the organization will move to a new location at Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, close to Ryparken S-train station.
As we cannot offer our interns a salary, it is a requirement that you receive SU. However, we offer you a free lunch scheme (mainly vegetarian) and the opportunity to participate in morning yoga once a week.
