Are you interested in internationalization and administration? Then you might be one of our new colleagues at the Office for International Education at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

The Office for International Education is one of 5 offices in the larger administrative entity called AUS – The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs. AUS handles all tasks in connection with student administration such as enrollment, registration for courses and exams, student guidance etc.

The positions are placed in the Office of International Education, where you will join a group of 23 highly competent colleagues. Together our assignment is to create the best possible framework for strong in- and outbound student mobility and contribute to the recognition of DTU as an international elite university with a global learning environment, who equip its graduates with a strong skillset to work globally.

The office is divided into four teams – and you will be placed in Team Exchange, which is made up of 12 colleagues. Team Exchange has student mobility at its very core – including all the processes that support and enable students to complete part of their education abroad or take a virtual course at a partner institution. The team consists of colleagues who work with international partnerships and educational collaboration, where semester exchange is at the center, other colleagues work with the formal recognition of courses taken at other institution in terms of credit transfer – and yet other colleagues work with strategic initiatives with selected international partners.

The available positions as student assistant:
The positions mainly revolve around assisting with ensuring and enabling DTU students to go abroad. Our goal is to send as many DTU students on exchange as possible, and to make sure that students are aware of all the possibilities available to them. The new student assistants will help us solve a lot of different communicative and administrative tasks in this connection – both at the desk and through different events about study abroad opportunities.

The positions are continuously adapted to the needs of the ever-changing portfolio of Team Exchange, as well as to the competences of the individual student assistant, but the following tasks are to be expected as part of the everyday work of the student assistant:

  • Data entry and information updates in various databases and systems. Assisting in case work in connection to the Erasmus programme.
  • Arranging / taking care of practicalities for study abroad events
  • Assisting in handling documentation for students in connection with their exchange stays.
  • Assisting in case work in connection with scholarships.
  • Handling all outbound packages and other postal shipments.
  • Various ad hoc office tasks.

Your background - or rather our perfect candidate for the position:

  • is a great communicator in both Danish and English as well (Danish is preferred not required).
  • is skilled at IT work.
  • is well structured, thorough, quick to adapt to new situations and task - and capable of working independently.
  • is interested in working within study administration.
  • has at least 2 years of studies left.
  • has already completed a study abroad.

It is a requirement that you are a student throughout your employment.

What can we offer you?
We hope to offer a challenging job in an international environment with a focus on research, education, and innovation. As student assistant within the Office of International Education you will be working closely with your colleagues and gain experience of working in a team.
