About EIO Energy

EIO Energy is a new energy trading company based in Aarhus. They take a quantitative approach to trading, meaning every decision is backed by data. Through a fund they are giving both private and institutional investors access to returns from European energy markets.

About the Role

EIO Energy is looking for their next Student Trader – someone with a sharp analytical mindset who understands numbers and data with ease and enjoys making decisions. Someone who is comfortable diving into analysis and digging through data to find the right answers.

Your responsibilities

• Work 10-20 hours per week with Power Trading and gain hands-on experience with real-time trading activities.
• Collaborating with the team on tool development, market analysis, and more.
• Keeping up with the latest market insights and sharing them with the team.
• You are communicating fluently in Danish or English
• You might have a background in economics (Oecon or HA), but maybe you also bring skills from mathematics or physics, giving you a strong understanding of quantitative analysis.
• You are probably finishing your 4th or 6th semester this coming summer.
• Enjoy working in a small team that aims to be the best every day.
• High degree of competitive mindset. Maybe you even have competed in sports on a high level.
• Play or have played poker or have dived deep into sports betting and even tried modeling it.
• Are always a few steps ahead in planning. You naturally see scenarios unfolding and can anticipate patterns.
• Have a strong sense of overview and find it easy to manage complex situations.
• Trust your gut feeling. Once you make a decision, you stick to it—but you’re also willing to reflect and learn from it.
• Work well independently and know how to prioritize your time effectively.
• Value keeping your word. You take ownership of what you promise and thrive when everyone delivers on their commitments.
• Appreciate clear goals. You love feeling productive and getting things done. Pursuing and achieving defined goals gives you energy.
