Your position
In your new position as a Student Assistant in the Sustainability department, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated Sustainability team whose mission is to drive Semco Maritime towards more sustainable business practices. You will have the chance to help structure and implement sustainability activities our divisions while leaving your mark on the team’s working culture and processes. Above all, your work will make a real difference in meeting the world’s growing energy demand.

Your place of work will be at either our Esbjerg office or Nordhavn office. The position is part-time and will be tailored to fit your studies.

Your tasks & responsibilities
As a Student Assistant in Sustainability, you will be responsible for collecting and analysing sustainability data and helping build a structured approach to our sustainability initiatives.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Collecting and analysing climate data for our climate accounting and LCA studies
  • Building and maintaining our internal climate data structure to ensure data quality and uniformity
  • Monitoring sustainability initiatives and contributing to the annual sustainability report
  • Supporting efforts to minimize the product carbon footprint for our solutions
  • Staying updated on relevant sustainability legislation and standards (e.g., GRI, ISO, CSRD)
  • Working with sustainability strategy and analysing commercial opportunities

Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a structured and detail-oriented student who is passionate about sustainability and wants to contribute to building up Semco Maritime’s sustainability activities. You have an independent and organized approach to your work and are eager to take ownership of your tasks.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Knowledge – or the ambition to learn – about sustainability reporting standards and LCA calculations (e.g., GRI, GHGP, SBTi, CSRD/ESRS)
  • Currently studying a master’s degree
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and structure sustainability data
  • Motivation to work in a complex environment where finding solutions is key
