A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Software Student Worker in the Performance Warranties & Modelling (PW&M) team at Siemens Gamesa, you will work directly with data from our global fleet of wind turbines - identifying patterns, performing analyses, and supporting the development of our internal tools.
Your day will involve improving existing analysis tools in R and contributing to our web-based applications built with the Shiny package. You will collaborate closely with highly skilled experts and gain valuable technical insight into power curve measurement data.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Design, develop, and improve internal tools and Shiny apps under the guidance of experienced engineers
• Scope, plan, and build solutions for post-processing power curve measurement data
• Support the team by organizing and archiving measurement campaign datasets in the internal database
What You Bring
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within software engineering, data science, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Fluency in R programming
• Experience developing web applications
• A strong software-developer mindset focused on clean, effective solutions
• Motivation to improve workflows and create meaningful impact
• Knowledge of SQL (a plus)
• At least one year left before graduation
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

You will join a collaborative and technically skilled team within Performance Warranties & Modelling. The team focuses on extracting value from turbine data and continuously improving the web tools that support our analysis and decision-making.
