Are you curious about cybersecurity and eager to learn how IT security supports business operations?
We are looking for a motivated and curious student who is passionate about learning and eager to solve real-world security challenges in 2026. By joining our Information Security team, you will gain hands-on experience tackling real security challenges, not just simulated exercises, in a global technology company. You will discover how security operates in the real world (hint: it’s messier than textbooks), use industry-standard tools and processes, and finish with tangible examples to enhance your CV.
If you’re curious, well organized, and enjoy fixing things that are slightly broken, you’ll fit right in.
Nel is a global leader in green hydrogen solutions, supporting industries worldwide in reducing emissions. By joining Nel, you’ll become part of an international team committed to driving innovation and shaping a sustainable future.
What can you expect?
You’ll work closely with our Information Security team on projects that strengthen our security foundations and ensure compliance. Your tasks may include:
- Reviewing and conducting Security Risks assessments
- Reviewing and updating Security Policies, Procedures, and Playbooks
- Participating in security awareness events
- Conducting security tests (ethical hacking) under the supervision of IT
- Other Security related tasks
You will thrive here if you
- Are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in IT, or a related field
- Have previous work experience, e.g., summer job, internship, part-time job (not a must, but advantage)
- Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
- Are curious, structured and proactive
- Have a positive attitude with excellent collaboration and communication skills
What you will gain
- Valuable first-hand experience working on real security projects
- Close support and coaching from experienced colleagues
