About the role
Strategic Development is a central management and strategy function within Group Positioning & Sustainability (GPS). The team directly supports the Chief Communication & Sustainability Officer and Head of Group Positioning & Sustainability, Jakob Bøss, as well as his Senior Leadership Team, in setting the strategic direction for Danske Bank's positioning efforts. This is carried out in collaboration with 200 colleagues across the Nordic region.
As a student assistant, you’ll be an integral part of the team, contributing to strategic and financial planning, marketing analysis, reputation tracking, and strategy execution in GPS.
Key Responsibilities
- Help provide strategic support to the Chief Communication & Sustainability Officer and his Senior Leadership Team through stakeholder management presentations, reports and customer data.
- Support the Strategic Development team in preparing presentations for senior stakeholders in the bank, including the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Involvement in various business processes across the bank, such as budgeting, financial forecasting, performance review etc.
- Assist with on-going management tasks in Strategic Development.
What We’re Looking For
- A motivated student with a genuine interest in strategic planning & decision making within the financial sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in strategy, business, or other relevant subjects with excellent academic achievements.
What We Offer
This role is designed to be a valuable learning experience with an expected start 1st of April 2026. You’ll gain direct exposure to high-level strategic work and develop a strong commercial understanding through close interaction with senior management.
- Approx. 15–20 hours per week
