Would you like to work the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in China, one of the biggest Danish diplomatic missions abroad?The Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in China is looking for an energetic Chinese student for a position as our part-time Political and Protocol Affairs Student Assistant to start as soon as possible. Job Description
As a Political and Protocol Affairs Student Assistant, you will be closely working with the Political/Economic team to contribute to our political and protocol-related work. Your main tasks will include:
- Data and information collection
- Contribution to reports
- Chinese – English translation both in oral and writing
- Take part in the planning and execution of important meetings/events and high-level visits
- Ad hoc assignments.
You will have to be able to commit to 20 hours per week to be present at work at the Embassy physically, minimum 10 months(working hours will be planned based on the schedule together with the selected candidate). The position will be for a one-year period with a possibility of extension.
Stipend: 200RMB per 8 hours work day
Preferred Qualifications
The job is open for applicants who currently study at a university. We prefer you to have the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a BA or MA programme, major in English, Political Science or international relations.
- Good command of written English and Chinese; Holder of CATTI-Level II certificate (oral English) is a plus.
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Good overviewing and planning skills as well as an ability to sense important details
- Structured approach to assignments
- Responsible, inquisitive and creative
