Student Financial Controller

We are now looking for a Student Financial Controller to support our finance team with analytical tasks, reporting, and financial insights in a dynamic energy trading environment!

THE POSITION
As Student Financial Controller, you will work closely with the finance team and gain hands-on experience with financial controlling in a fast-paced, commercial environment. The role is both operational and analytical and gives you exposure to how financial data supports decision-making across the business.

Among your responsibilities are:

• Supporting monthly reporting and management reporting.
• Preparing financial analyses and ad hoc reports for management.
• Working with large datasets and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Assisting with documentation and internal controls.
• Contribute to the automation of procedures and internal controls
• Collaborating with colleagues across finance, trading, and other business functions.

To succeed in the job, you need to:

• Have strong analytical skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and an eye for details
• Be curious, proactive, and eager to learn
• Be comfortable working with data and see data as a natural part of you everyday work
• Be proficient in Excel. Experience with Power BI, SQL, or Python is an advantage but not required
• Have a good understanding of Financial Statements and basic controlling principles
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and take responsibility for your tasks
• Have capacity to work 15-20 hours per week, with exam period flexibility.

We imagine that you are currently enrolled in a relevant degree (e.g. Economics, Finance, International Business, Business Administration, or similar).

The position is part-time and is based in the center of Aarhus, Denmark.
