Student Assistant - Data Science and AI Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive student assistant to support our team in developing data-driven solutions and advancing AI adoption across the organisation. This position offers hands-on experience with business intelligence tools, automation, machine learning, and cutting-edge generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power BI Dashboard Development:
    • Build and optimise data models
    • Configure data sources
    • Create interactive visual reports to support business decision-making
  • AI and Automation Projects:
    • Apply artificial intelligence techniques to data analysis
    • Contribute to workflow optimisation through automation
    • Work with machine learning models for quality control of computer chips in our systems
  • Generative & Agentic AI Enablement:
    • Support the organisation in adopting generative AI and agentic AI solutions
    • Help design and implement AI use cases that enhance productivity and profitability
    • Contribute to upskilling initiatives by creating guidance and best practices for AI tools
  • Agile Collaboration:
    • Participate in daily and weekly Scrum meetings
    • Learn agile practices for task planning, prioritisation, and team collaboration
  • Ad Hoc Assignments:
    • Support with data processing and analysis
    • Provide technical assistance and documentation as needed

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree programme (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Business, Engineering)
  • Interest in data analytics, AI, and machine learning
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
